The New Queen of Pop? ââ¬Å"My artpop could mean anythingâ⬠(Lady Gaga, 2013). Lady Gagaââ¬â¢s incredibly creative and diverse music and art influenced the music industry, making her one of the most influential people in the world. Gaga grew up with an interest in music, her music influenced by Christianity in her family. She began singing at open mic bar nights in New York, with several small bands. Soon, she broke onto the scene, and released her album, The Fame. (ââ¬Å"Lady Gagaâ⬠, 2010) Quickly, she grew in popularity, her music starting to influence the music industry. Through her messages in her music, fashion and statements, Lady Gagaââ¬â¢s illustrious music career has advanced culture and views on various issues. Disguised as merely an album, Born This Way flew off the shelves and set the record for most digital downloads in the first week of sale. Glamorous as usual, the album was a mashup of a variety of music styles, from foreign music to religious anthems to electronic dance music to pop (Pareles). Above all, Gagaââ¬â¢s music, time and time again, have topped charts and set records, and influenced a new generation of artists. Lady Gagaââ¬â¢s most renowned attribute is her style and fashion, her cutting edge outfits paving the road for new fashion.
